Amy Wiles, Vice President of Development &

Kevin Eberle, Orchestra Personal Manager for the Las Vegas Philharmonic

Amy Wiles has served as Vice President of Development for the Las Vegas Philharmonic since June 2014. She most recently served as Director of Development for the Alexander Dawson School in Summerlin. Amy is heavily involved in planning our Gala as well as working on fundraising campaigns for our annual Youth Concert Series which provides free musical performances for over 16,000 Clark Country School District children!

Kevin Eberle has served as the Orchestra Personal Manager for the Las Vegas Philharmonic since April 2015. He was previously Education Coordinator and Patron Services Manager for the Redlands Symphony Orchestra. Kevin is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he studies with Dr. Janis McKay.

Magical Forrest School Bus: Ed Guthrie reminded the club that the Club's Magical Forrest bus support event is December 4 at 9:30 p.m. Please sign-up in the book and contact Ed if you have additional questions.

Holiday Party: The Club Holiday Party will be at Eric Colvin's house the night of December 3 at 6 p.m. A sign-up can be found  in the book. Please invite past members or guests.

Rotary Polo Shirt: Eric Colvin asked the Club who didn't have a Rotary polo shirt and that he is thinking of creating another run of shirts for those interested. Shirts would be between $30 to $35 each.

Santa Clothes: Mitchell Horst reminded the Club that the Las Vegas Club will be doing a Santa Clothes shopping event on December 3rd. Jordana Lane will be in attendance and if you are interested in participating, please contact her.

Football Squares: Awardees this week were Adam Malan and Joanne Joe Pescio.

Dan Stover: Mitchell Horst announced that Dan Stover music competition will be held at the January 29 meeting.

Text Bomb: Adam Bowler was selected to be this week's text bomb.


Which Turkey is this? Megan Schimick was recognized $100 for staying in town for Turkey Day with 35 relatives (not fair to assess a fee for that!) and missing Name the Rotarian.

Golf boy goes to Boston . . . Sean Callahan was recognized $75 for his trip last month to Boston.

Montana man . . . Sean Tanko plans to spend Thanksgiving in Montana where his brother lives and Sean owns a cabin (which will probably be under snow). The trip up north cost him $50. He got Name the Rotarian but only after Ted Henderson helped. Ted was recognized $75.

Dr. Thomas Piechota, Vice President of Research and Economic Development, UNLV

Dr. Piechota spoke to the Club about the advancement of UNLV as as research institution, the recent $1 million Tesla grant and general updates about projects such as Desert Sol. To learn more about Dr. Piechota and UNLV's Division of Research and Economic Development, please visit
