Richard Reed, Founder, The Las Vegas WON Rotary Club

2015-2016 District 5300 Rotarian of the Year Richard Reedfounded and created The Las Vegas WON Rotary Club with 125 members, the largest Charter Club in Rotary’s 111-year history. The word WON stands for "WHERE OPPORTUNITY NETWORKS" and the Club uses social media to grow its membership. The Club received its official charter April 8, 2016. 

Richard served as 2015-2106 District Governor Aide to District Governor Randy Pote and has a long history of assisting with a number of Rotary Projects.

Richard is an entreprenuer, Internet advertiser and CEO/Editor of Insider Viewpoints of Las Vegas, the #1 informational guide of Las Vegas.

Greenspokes: Rebecca Collett announced that Greenspokes will be at Bryan Dziedziak's home on June 15.

Debunking: Josh Satterlee announced that Mitchell Horst's presidential debunking will be June 30th at Anthem Country Club. You should receive an invitation in the mail. Please RSVP or sign-up in the book.

Board Retreat: Rebecca Collett announced that the Club board retreat will be at Lake Las Vegas on June 23 and 24. Details will be emailed soon.

Feed the Homeless: Tom Martin announced will be June 29th at Christ Episcopal Church at the corner of Maryland Parkway and St. Louis. The food preparation begins at 5:00 p.m. and the Club should be done by 6:30 p.m. Tom mentioned there is a need for men's, women's and children's clothing.

PAY YOUR BILL! It's really easy!  Reminder: It is your duty to keep up to date on invoices and up-to-date bills will be sent to all members. The Club recently instituted on-site credit card payment so any member can pay their bill at any meeting. If you don’t know how much you owe, just ask Elaine (she’s keeping a list and checking it twice).


Rounders, Rounders, Everywhere . . . A number of Rotarians attended Wally Emery's Anthem Highlands Rounders location opening including Aric Graham, Jordana Lane, Rebecca Collett among others. Each were given a $10 credit.

Survey Time! Anyone who sent in their annual survey prior to the meeting received Lawry's gift cards.

Ron Reynolds, Attorney and Club Member

Ron Reynolds was gracious enough to fill in as our speaker as our scheduled speaker was stuck in Chicago due to flight issues. He spoke to the Club about what easy, inexpensive ways you can protect your assets. He focused a good portion on homesteading as a means to protect your home from liens and lawsuits as well as specific ways you can protect your estate in case of your untimely death.
