Clinton Pope,
Principal, CBP Strategies

Clinton Pope is a strategic communications expert with local, national and international experience spanning 20 years. He is an expert in crisis communications, brand development, marketing, public affairs and government affairs. He has worked with dozens of clients from the energy, development, entertainment, technology, healthcare and gaming industries including NV Energy, Clean Energy Project, Nevada Resort Association, Palm Computing, Coalition for Fairness in Construction and Health Services Coalition.

He began his career with R&R Partners as a lobbyist on  healthcare and gaming issues and has worked for 2004 PR Week Mid-Size Agency of the year A&R Partners and 20014 PR Week Boutique Agency of the year Kirvin Doak Communications.  Prior to founding CBP Strategies, Clinton was a strategic lead on a number of key accounts at R&R Partners, the largest marketing/public affairs agency in Nevada which was named Grand Marketer of the Year by Brandweek.

9th Bridge School Street Fetival: Connie Yeh announced 9th Bridge School will be hosting its inaugural 9th Bridge Kidz Street Festival on October 8th from 11 am – 3 pm at 310 South 9th Street in Downtown Las Vegas.  This family-friendly festival will showcase community partners and feature food, entertainment, games, activities, and rides. Football Squares: Eric Colvin announced the winners of the Sunday night football pool. The LV Southwest Club one the final and Brian Shoemaker won the halftime score.

Rotary Shirts: Eric Colvin also announced that Rotary shirts are being selected and showed the samples that he had brought to the meeting. Need to order by 10/1/16.

Andy Katz Memorial Golf Tournament: Jim Andres also announced that the Andy Katz Memorial Golf Tournament will be on 10/27/16 at Rhodes Ranch with proceeds to to to UNLV scholarships as Andy was a big UNLV fan.

Summerlin Wine Harvest: Fred Fukumoto reminded the Club that the Summerlin Club has their annual Wine Harvest where they sell raffle tickets for 50, 30 or 20 bottles of wine as a prize. Fred encouraged the Club to participate.

Boys & Girls Club Boy's and Girls Night Out: Aric Graham announced that this year's Boy's Night Out will be October 6th and Girl's Night Out will be October 8. We had a number of members participate last year and we hope to have a number participate.

Strike A Pose Fundraiser: Darcy Hall from the Red Rock Rotary Club announced its 4th annual Strike a Pose fundraiser Saturday 22nd. Please contact Darcy for more information.


NO ROTARY EMBLEM!!! Aric Graham, Josh Satterlee, Mark Rowley and Rich Bowler were all recognized $25 for not having a visible Rotary emblem.

Troy Lochhead - Troy was recognized $100 for her son's recent Nevada Press Association recognition and award for his story about the deficiencies in the public guardianship system.

Adrienne Cox - Adrienne took her time for being recognized to highlight the international youth exchange efforts and commend the Red Rock Club for their efforts. She was assessed $50.

Bryan Dzeidzaik - Bryan was recognized $100 for his recent trip to see his granddaughter in Virginia who has shown her respect for the flag unprompted on numerous occasions.

John Grady, Vice Chairman of the Board, Goodwill Industries of Southern Nevada

John Grady gave an overview of all the services Goodwill provides in Las Vegas and their association with outer nonprofit organizations, including Opportunity Village. In addition to reselling used items, they provide job placement support and train people looking for a job how to best present themselves. To learn more about Goodwill please visit
